Now I don't know a single lady who doesn't like to get her face mask on. They never fail to make me feel pampered and relaxed. Now, I have quite a few, and I am here to give you the scoop....
Blemish Fighters / Detox Masks
Mahalo Pele Mask
The Mahalo Pele Mask....oh man, now THIS is a favorite. I first fell head over heels with a little sample from Petit Vour. Why did I fall in love? Well, it was one of those masks where I noticed a difference right away, which doesn't often happen. My skin was feeling quite congested and I noticed little bumps, not pimples, along my jawline. This baby totally helped clear that up. With Hibiscus, Tumeric, Vitamic C, Volcanic Ash Clay, Witch Hazel, and MORE this is a little miracle in a jar. The only con is that it is in powder form, but in the long run, this is a blessing because it doesn't need to be filled with pesky preservatives. Feel free to just add a bit of water to turn it into a past, or even some hydrosol / toner of your choice if you have super dry skin. I love this thing, and even have a code to save ya, phew. It is a pretty penny but lasts absolutely forever and is 100% worth it. Code is 'greenbunnyvideo' and you can snag it right here.
May Lindstrom The Problem Solver
May can do no wrong in my book. Though I prefer The Honey Mud to this guy, I know for acne prone skin, this can be your new bff. Designed to purify, tighten, detoxify, and ultimately aid against pimple and inflammation I would have to check all of those off. Like I said, acne isn't a problem I actively struggle with, but I still really do love this mask. Like Mahalo, this also comes in powder form. Feel free to add water or hydrosol like mentioned above, both work beautifully! You leave this sucker on for a hefty 45 minutes which I love, it really makes it feel like a treatment and luxurious. So, what's inside? Many ingredients you may notice from Mahalo. Tumeric, Cayenne Pepper, Vitamin C, as well as some other ingredients such as a variety of clays, and sea salt. Both are just gorgeous. The only way to pick is really get nitty gritty with ingredients and see what works better with yours, my personal favorite is the Mahalo. Want to get your hands on some May? Available at one of my favorites, LeVert Beauty right here.
Osea Red Algae Mask
Another nice product from Osea! This one is special because not only does it fight against acne, but like many Osea products, it is fabulous for anti-aging. This one is also in a cream formula which may appeal to more people. I would recommend this to my girls who really suffer with dry skin because of it's hydrating properties that never leave the skin feeling stripped. Something I dislike? Well, the last ingredient is phenoxyethanol. That is one reason I can't deem this a top favorite, but I wanted to give you all my thoughts. Ingredients I do love include French Red and Pink clay, Sesame Seed Oil, and Jojoba Oil just to name a few. It's a good mask, a good stand by, but doesn't hold a candle to the other two. Available here.
The Hydrating Heroes
May Lindstrom The Honey Mud
Ah now THIS, is probably my favorite of the lot. I would recommend this to anyone with a face. Is it pricy? Totally. Is it worth it? Abso-freakin'-lutely. Formulated with Raw Honey, White Halloysite Clay, Macadamia Nut Oil, Witch Hazel, Coco Absolute Oil, Sweet Orange Oil, and MORE, there is nothing on the market like it. I love that you can leave this on for 10 minutes, or 10 hours if you want. It does nothing but soothe and hydrate the skin, as well as acting against acne with the raw honey. Like I mentioned before, it is good for everyone. Can you say most amazing Christmas present of all time? Oh, and if you need some justification, you can also use this is a cleanser. Did I mention it comes in the most gorgeous glass container? Yeah, that too. Seriously though, everyone digs this mask. It smells gorgeous, works even better, and you just need it. If nothing else on this list. Go ahead and snag this on the beautiful LeVert Beauty here.
La Bella Figura Beauty Bio-Active Mask
The newest to my bunch! Yes, this is the old La Bella Figura packaging, but same beautiful product inside! Much like The Honey Mud, it aids in hydrating and fighting aging. During this time of year I know we all cannot get enough of that! Not only does it do that, but it heals. This mask helps give nutrients to the skin as well as promote cellular turnover. When this mask is on, you will feel a slight tingling sensation, which never fails to make me feel like it's working. This also has beautiful Raw Manuka Honey, Aronia Berry Powder, Barbary Fig Seed Oil, Rosehip Seed Oil (a personal favorite), Jasmine Petals and more. When I read the ingredients list I just find myself nodding "yes" because I am ALL over it. When removed I instantly notice not only brighter skin, but very smooth and soothed skin despite the tingling sensation felt while it's on. La Bella Figura has impressed me through and through the with little chunk of products I have had the pleasure of trying. You can snag this mask on Bergamot Beauty (which if you haven't heard of this site, say what?!). They have a beautiful and carefully curated collection including Gressa, La Bella Figura (duh), Nudus, Laurel, Kypris and MORE. It is a total skincare haven with some lipstick thrown in, now that is what I am talking about. Pick it up over here!
The Glow Getters
Lil' Fox Botanicals Chlorphyll + Tourmaline Face Mask
Yes, more Lil' Fox. What can I say? This line totally rocks my world. This is also another mask where I completed noticed a difference upon removal. It has the most gorgeous bright green color (this is in powder form as well) and has a strong herbal scent from the Chlorophyl, I kinda love it. So, onto the ingredients. Inside contain French Green Clay, Chlorella Algae, Amazonian White Clay, Brazlilian Tourmaline Crystals and Matcha Green Tea. That's it! Nice and simple which I always love. Whenever I take this off my pores instantly look smaller, and my face looks brighter. Whenever my skin is congested and just not havin' it, I break out this bad boy. Pick it up right here. Code 'greenbunnyisafox' will save you 20%!
Josh Rosebrook Cacao Antioxidant Mask
Can Josh Rosebrook do any wrong? I adore every single thing this man does. This mask here is seriously unique, I have never used something quite like it. When you apply it, it will slightly 'burn' and your face will be red after. Though this usually something to fear, it isn't here. This mask is designed to increase circulation in the face which in turn leaves you with brighter, tighter, and detoxified skin. How does it do this? Full of ingredients such as Cacao (shocker!), Witch Hazel, Vinegar, Almond Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Grape seed Oil, Lavender Flower, Alfalfa and MORE this is a little powerhouse. Like all Josh Rosebrook products, I adore it. I need more. What should I get?! Please let me know! Oh, and if you want this you can pick it up on the beautiful Aurora Beauty over here. Tell Farah I sent ya!
OH OH OH! and I wanted to mention the May Lindstrom Brush. Applying face masks has never been easier, especially the dry ones you need to mix with water or hydrosol. You can easily mix it, and apply a nice even layer rather than a hot patchy mess. If you have a ton of face masks and don't want another, you atleast need this. Total gamechanger. Available here and save 10% off with code 'GB10' here.
PHEW! Can you believe it? Finally done with monster of a post. These are the majority of masks, and honestly, I am pretty head over heels with them all. Please please let me know on Instagram or on my Youtube channel, or hell, even email me your favorites masks. Do I need the Laurel Honey Berry Enzyme mask or WHAT?! If you made it through this thang, THANK YOU! I'm out! *drops mic*
Until next time babes, XO!
