Yet another new series, because hell, I have many green beauty ideas brewin' in this head of mine. Say hello to The Weekend Post, which I think will be my new favorite. I will be posting these every couple of Sunday's to show my favorite pampering products for a relaxing Sunday evening. Let's face it, I tend to neglect myself a lot and let the stress build until I crack. Knowing I have to keep these posts coming will hopefully change that...Let's see what in this weeks edition!
Hubalou Hair Wrap in Plum
First up, is a new addition, and you guys....I am officially obsessed. This hair wrap is made from bamboo fibers which are supposed to help with dry time, prevent breakage, and reduce frizz. Some of you may be like, COOL GIMMICK, I CAN JUST USE A TOWEL! Well ladies, I am here to say that is untrue. I love wrapping my hair up post-shower because I love to smack on a face mask and sit in my towel for an abnormal amount of time as I surf the web....I know I am not the only one! This thing really does do amazing things for my hair. I have frizzy hair like nobodies business and I have been having some of the BEST hair days because of this baby. Can you say best investment ever?! Especially for a relaxing weekend. You can pick this baby up over at Shop Conscious Beauty and save 10% when you sign up for your email, right here. It also comes in slate, and peach.
Prim Botanicals - The Hair Oil
You guys know I mentioned this guy in my Organic Bunny Box post (look at that here), and my first impressions were good, but lasting impressions are GREAT. I like to take a good amount of oil in my palms and just massage this through the ends, clip it up for a few hours, rinse and just admire how soft and silky my hair is. As someone who heat styles their hair, and does so often, my ends really suffer. This stuff just gives me hair a big hug and says everything will be okay. Swoon. I won't be without this stuff anymore! PS- a little goes a LONG way so it is worth every single penny. Pick yours up here (code 'greenbunny' will save you 10% off the entire site!)
NEW Mahalo The Rare Indigo Balm
Though you have probably already heard all the raves about this balm, I couldn't not include it. Lately my skin has been so dry, and I am talking scratch my forehead and watch flakes come off kinda dry (cute, right?) and this stuff has been just what I need. It completely soothes the dryness and itching that comes along with it. This product was designed just for my skin concerns as well as problems such as eczema, dermatitis, aging, and even acne. There is so much magic in this balm I am going to link you directly to the site because truly, I can't say it better myself. All I can attest to is that this stuff works, seriously, and I may even like it more than Blue Cocoon by one of my green beauty queens, May Lindstrom. Not only that but Maryna, the creator of Mahalo, has truly put pieces of her heart and soul into this balm, and I am kind of convinced that is what gives it it's magic. Besides, you know, the amazing Rare Indigo! Read more about the balm here. Also, note that this is not the final packaging, it is in it's usual bamboo packaging so fear not.
How to enjoy your Mahalo Moment:
Use AM & PM as needed throughout the day. A little goes a LONG way.
Apply Half a pea size amount of balm over damp skin, both morning and night. Note that this can be layered over or under your usual serum, but if you apply over freshly toned skin, that is when it performs best.
Skin Type: All skin types, but specifically those who suffer with aging, irritations, eczema, dermatitis, dryness, etc.
Aroma: Suave, Crisp with sweet undertones, night-air scent, highlighted with refined florals.
DEAL ALERT: Okay, since this baby is brand spanking new, Mahalo is offering you guys a beautiful deal. With any purchase of this new balm, a new face mask called 'The Petal' (beautifully named by Katie, which if you're not reading her blog, what are you doing?) will be included with every order. That is a FIFTY dollar value, so it's better than any coupon code on the market. PS- if the price scares you, this is fifty dollars cheaper than May Lindstrom, and will last you a total lifetime. I cannot sing it's high praises enough. Pick this sucker up right here. Don't care about the balm but want some other Mahalo goodness, save 10% on your order with code 'greenbunnyvideo'
Osea Essential Hydrating Oil
Unfortunately, our first weekend post is coming to an end. But it IS ending on a high note with this beautiful oil from Osea. Like I said earlier, I have been having some serious dry skin issues the past week or so, so between this and the Mahalo Balm I am sorted. I would suggest this oil to any skin type though. The second I apply my skin instantly feels soothed and smooth as can be. The hydrating properties of this oil with it's infusion of Calendula, Geranium and Lavender also help with aging and sun damaging so I love to pat a bit of this around the eyes and smile lines. This baby does it all and at a reasonable price point. Though it is small, you just need the absolute smallest amount. Not only that but code 'organicbunny' will save you at check out right here.
Alright, that's a wrap on first weekend post! Please make sure to set a little time aside for yourself this week and indulge. Hell, maybe even treat yourself to one of these pampering goodies to prep yourself for next week. You deserve it ;-).
Until next time babes, XO!
