Today I am bringing you a new series I am calling 'First Impressions & Follow Up.' Sometimes exciting things (like this amazing box) happen and I am itching to get it on the blog to share, but I haven't exactly had the chance to try everything the way I should. That's where this series was born. I can show you something and give my first impressions, then follow up in about a months time to give me opinion on the actual product and whether I would repurchase. Let's do this thang!
It's no secret that I adore Amanda from the Organic Bunny blog. She has inspired many purchases so it would be foolish of me to not get in on her new beauty subscription box. We all know the value is great, and she did a damn good job, but what exactly did I think of the product inside?
Now THAT is a pretty sight! I had the opportunity to use a few of these things and I am going to give you my first impression low-down.
Chocolate Sun Tanner- One of the two things I have yet to try. I will be slapping this baby on my pasty limbs sometime this week and report back. The spray formula isn't exactly ideal for a total tanner novice like myself...but I like you guys and I volunteer as a sacrifice.
Aleavia Face Wash - Haven't tried this baby yet but I am STOKED on it. I am trying to remain faithful to one face wash so I can finally give you that skin care routine. Forgive me ;)
Innersense Color Awakening Shampoo & Conditioner - This was something I was beyond excited to receive. Innersense has been on my radar for quite some time. Now I have only used this once, but first impressions were fantastic. My hair didn't feel weighed down and heavy, yet still nourished and lovely. This is coming from a girl who's hair isn't color treated though, so be mindful of that! Teenager me could give you a different opinion.
21 Drops 'Focus' Essential Oil Blend- This was a nice little treat! I'll keep this short. It smells awesome, but did it make me feel more focused? Well, not so much. I will definitely use it because the smell is beyond lovely and maybe a placebo will kick in. I would love to use this to start my day. It contains peppermint, rosemary, and frankincense. YUM.
Elate Cosmetics Twinkle Loose Shadow in 'Ethereal'- Say 'Hi' to THE most lovely lid shade ever. A beautiful semi-sheer pale gold is perfect for throwing on when you just can't really be bothered with a complete eye look. Swoon.
Prim Botanicals Hair Oil / Treatment- I tried this the day I got it and it was love at first application. There are three ways to use this oil either a long hot oil treatment, few hour hair mask, or even a pre-styling aid. Save to say I am in love. The smell won me over, but when I washed my hair it was gorgeous, soft, and shiny. Yes please.
100% Vitamint Lip Color in 'Butterscotch'- Now I am no stranger to the 100% Pure Vitamints, I already own and enjoy the shade 'Vino' so this was a nice familiar product. The color on my light-medium toned skin is pretty much a "my lips but better" shade and I am not mad it at! I think this will perfect to throw on the lips for an easy yet flattering shade. I personally think these lip products feel like a MAC Lustre Lipstick, meaning they feel slippery but definitely not hyrdating. More on that later.
FitGlow Beauty x Organic Bunny Good Gloss in 'Bliss' - This just might be one of my favorite items in the box. I already have the biggest crush the Good Glosses (post coming soon) and this color is just phenomenal. You can throw this on top of any lip color to make it shinier and full of life. This color also isn't exclusive to the box so, YOU NEED IT!
and to wrap up this beautiful box.....
Thao Organic Tea in 'Citrus Yerba Mate' - Oh man, oh man. I think tea was such a nice touch for this box. I already own and love Thao Tea (that's coming from a non-tea drinker) but I don't own this blend! She even included 10 tea bags, that girl thinks of everything.
So wrap this up, obviously this box was beyond worth the $49 dollars I paid. I do know that she has raised the prices to $59 since and her November box is completely sold out. Fear not, she plans on making more for December. Follow her on Instagram at @organicbunny so you don't miss out, and of course follow her amazing blog here.
Until next time babes, XO!
